The maximum number of simultaneous integrations supported on an engine depends on the processing capabilities of the engine's platform.
An NAE8500 or an OAS that runs on an appropriately resourced platform can
simultaneously support a maximum of eight vendor-based integrations. All NAE and SNx
based engines can simultaneously support a maximum of two vendor-based integrations.
Embedded platforms like the NAE and the SNx based engines tend to be resource
constrained, so some protocols like KNX, C•CURE-victor, OPC UA, and Zettler can be
impacted if they are combined with other vendor-based integrations. Combinations
like KNX + Modbus are not supported on these type of engine models and can result in
unexpected behavior, if implemented. The following table shows the maximum number of
simultaneous integrations that are supported on an NAE or SNx based engine.
Vendor integration type | Maximum number of supported simultaneous integrations (standard protocol drivers) |
---|---|
MQTT | 1 |
Modbus (TCP or RS-485) | 2 |
M-Bus | 2 |
KNX | 1 |
C•CURE-victor | 1 |
OPC Unified Architecture (UA) | 1 |
Zettler | 1 |
