SCT Release 11.x or later features new functionality to save time by simplifying the configuration process for sites using the Metasys UI. SCT's most valuable enhancement, Rapid Archive Creation, uses controller application files and templates to efficiently build site archives in a fraction of the time from previous releases.
In addition to Rapid Archive Creation, SCT now permits spaces and equipment-only downloads and auto-discovery of serving relationships for Metasys UI. The Downloading Only Metasys UI Spaces and Equipment options enables sites to download Metasys UI spaces and equipment information to your Release 7.0 or later server class device (ADS, ADX, or ADS-Lite) through the Manage Archive Wizard. This new download feature is not intended to replace a full download to your server; instead it offers a specific and simplified download for JCT configuration.
Auto-Discovery of Serving Relationships uses a matching algorithm to automatically fill Serving and Served By columns in the Equipment Discovery window. Enhancements to the Find and Replace functionality give you increased control over Equipment Name and Equipment Descriptions to aid in more accurate auto-discovery matches.
