VMA16 (32-bit) VAV Modular Assembly
VMA16 (32-bit) controllers are programmable digital controllers tailored for VAV box applications that can be switched between BACnet MS/TP and N2 Communications protocols. When they are used as MS/TP devices, they communicate via the BACnet MS/TP protocol. In N2 mode, they can be used to modernize sites with legacy Johnson Controls controllers.
The VMA16 (32-bit) controllers' small package size facilitates quick field installation and efficient use of space, while not compromising high-tech control performance. VMA models are available without the integral differential pressure sensor, making them a more affordable choice for commercial zoning or pressure-dependent VAV box control applications. VMA16 models are also available without the integral actuator, allowing a separate actuator to be used for VAV box control applications where a higher torque actuator or an actuator with position feedback would be more appropriate. The VMA16 (32-bit) controllers connect easily to the NS Series Network Sensors for zone and discharge air temperature sensing. These features make the VMA16 (32-bit) the product of choice for VAV box control. The wide variety of network sensor models provides options for measuring and displaying zone temperature, occupancy detection, duct temperature, zone humidity, carbon dioxide (CO2) level, setpoint adjustments, VAV box fan speed, and discharge air temperatures.

VMA18 controllers are very similar to the VMA16 (32-bit) programmable VAV box controllers, but include additional features that make them well-suited for replacing legacy VMA1400 Series controllers. VMA18 controllers have an 8-pin TSTAT port intended for use with the TE-7xxx Series non-communicating sensors. The VMA18 controllers also include cable adapters to provide options for reusing or replacing the sensor formerly used with the VMA14xx Series.
