Plan the zone bus layout. For more information about communications buses, refer to the Verasys BACnet MS/TP Communications Technical Bulletin (LIT-12012362). If you use a wireless system with TMR100, refer to the Verasys TMR Series Wireless Router Installation Guide (LIT-12014167). The steps below also apply for a TMR wireless system. If you plan a TMR wireless system each device requires a TMR to be connected with 22-3 awg shielded cable to the system bus or zone bus, instead of daisy chain wiring to each device. The TMR100's form a wireless communication network that replaces a hardwired network.
Note: Wireless NS8000 sensors can only be used with WRZ7860 connected to the sensor bus of a controller. Refer to WRZ Series One-to-One Wireless Room Sensing System Technical Bulletin (LIT-12011641).

It is best practice to connect the devices in the following sequence:

  1. Install the SBH200 in a location that is easy to access.
  2. Install the zone coordinator in a location that is easy to access, preferably close to the SBH200.
  3. In a daisy chain configuration, connect the blue four screw terminal system bus plug of the zone coordinator to the same system bus plug on the SBH200 or other system bus device. Devices on the system should be addressed in sequence, one by one, from 5-105. The EOL switch must be set to the on position on the first and last devices on the system bus. All other devices must be set to off.
  4. In a daisy chain configuration, connect the gray/brown four screw terminal zone bus plug on the zone coordinator to the RTU controller followed by the ZEC510 VAV box controllers. Devices on the zone bus of each zone coordinator must begin with address 5 and progress in sequence up to 38. The EOL switch must be set to the on position on the first and last devices on the system bus. All other devices must be set to off.
Note: When you install two or more zone coordinators, the devices on the zone bus of each indvidual zone coordinator must begin at address 5. Duplicate addresses on seperate zone buses is permitted. For full wiring details and diagrams refer to the ZEC510 VAV Controllers Installation Guide (Part No. 24-10143-01485).
