Use the Software Updates tab to update the SBH. This feature can also be used to update the dictionary version of the SBH. The current software (SW) and dictionary version of the SBH appears on the lower left-hand corner of the screen, under the Verasys logo.
To update the software or dictionary to the latest version, complete the following steps:
- Click the Settings tab and navigate to the Software Updates tab.
- Click the Choose File button.
- Select the .bin file with the updated software.
- Select Upload. The SBH uploads the file and prepares the update. When the upload is complete, the SBH displays Upload Successful.
- Select Install.
A red warning bar notifies you that an update is in progress and a countdown begins before the SBH disconnects from the network.
Note: When you update the software, the device retains your previous settings. Set up and update new features before you update the software. When complete, log in to the SBH and take note of the new version number.
