You can connect to the Internet for remote access through the following options:
  1. Virtual private network (VPN) device - Highest level of security assurance: This is the most secure method for remote access to Verasys. As this method is the most complex option for remote access, it is best practice to work with the customer’s IT department when you implement a VPN solution.
  2. Tempered Airwall 110E Series Gateway device or Tempered 75 Series Gateway device, - Highest level of security assurance: You can install either model of the Tempered Airwall devices to provide a secure method for remote access to Verasys.
    1. Install the Airwall Gateway device between the SBH and an internet connection, such as, a cell modem, router or customer LAN.
      1. Connect the Ethernet cable from the SBH to the Airwall Gateway device and then connect Airwall Gateway device to an internet connection.
      2. It is best practice to work with the customer’s IT department when connecting to a LAN.
    2. Install the Airwall agent software on your laptop or mobile phone and contact Johnson Controls customer support to implement the secure remote access policy to the SBH.
  3. Port forwarding with or without certificate - No security assurance: Do not configure any port forwarding method through the internet connection for remote access to the SBH.
