The TMR can act as a wireless network Coordinator or Router. By default, the TMR is in Router Mode. When it is wired to the System Bus of an SBH200 or Zone Bus of a VZC, the TMR is commanded to reset into Coordinator Mode. Alternately, you can use the Join Push button to switch the TMR between Coordinator and Router modes.

Note: The Join Push button is located on the side of the TMR and is embedded into the housing so that it cannot be activated by accident. To press the Join Push button, use a small screwdriver or similar tool. See Figure 1.
Table 1. Manual mode selection
Mode Description
Coordinator Mode (TMC)

To manually enter Coordinator Mode, hold the Join Push button until the LED is yellow, then release and press again. If the device is not in Coordinator Mode, it resets and comes up as a coordinator for the PAN.

Router Mode (TMR)

To enter Router Mode you can press and hold the Join Push button until the LED is green, then release and press again. Alternately, you can perform a Factory Reset by pressing and holding the Join Push button until the LED is red, then release and press again.

Router Mode is also the mode used for a stand-alone repeater.

Note: When you change the TMR mode, the TMR network settings reset. Make sure to add the TMR back onto the network.
