To check the zone damper, complete the following steps:
- Install the ZEC310 on the VAV box. Refer to Verasys ZEC310 Zone Damper and BYP200 Bypass Damper Controllers Installation Guide Part No. 24-10143-1248
- Note the direction, clockwise (CW) or counterclockwise (CCW), required to close the damper. This information is required for configuration.
- Ensure you can manually move the actuator. To test this, hold down the red gear
release button and turn the damper shaft. If it cannot move freely, loosen the locking
mechanism and move it 90 degrees, then lock it down again.Figure 1. Moving the actuator
Table 1. Moving the actuator Number Description 1 Damper 2 Damper shaft 3 Gear release button - See the Mounting and wiring section above to ensure devices are wired, addressed and start correctly before you apply power to the ZEC310.
- Connect the NS8000 sensor to the sensor bus. If multiple sensors are used, they must be wired in a daisy chain configuration and each NS8000 sensor requires a unique address. If you use wireless one-to-one sensors refer to the WRZ Series One-to-One Wireless Room Sensing System Technical Bulletin (LIT-1201164).
- Apply power to the ZEC310.
- Ensure that the zone coordinator and the zone bus devices communicate to the SBH300. Refer to Verasys Zone Coordinator Installation Guide (Part No. 24-10143-1280).
