The VEC is by default a COBP system. Partial factory setup is already completed. Complete the following procedures to check that the minimal settings have been performed.
- Log on to the SBH.
- From the device list screen, select VEC. The VEC home page and the VEC menu structure appear.
- The VEC home page provides an overview of the status of the unit. Check that the SAT sensor
reading is correct. Note: For the unit to have control, you need minimum one SAT sensor.
- Navigate to the
- Set the number of stages of heating and cooling that the unit has.
- If the VEC controls the economizer, set it to yes. Note: An outside air temperature is required for the economizer to modulate.
- Set the RTU controller type to COBP.
- Variable speed drive should be set to false if a BYP200 is used. If you use a variable speed fan to control duct static pressure, instead of a BYP200, variable speed drive can be set to true. The VEC100 must have a discharge air duct static pressure sensor connected and the RTU must have a variable frequency drive that the VEC100 can control. Refer to your specific VEC100 application note for wiring details.
