About this task

Use the 4-pin System Bus on the SBH300 to connect your BACnet MS/TP network equipment. Wire between the SBH300 and MS/TP controllers in a daisy chain wiring configuration. Use 22 AWG-3 twisted shielded cable. For more information, refer to the MS/TP Bus Cable Recommendations section of the Verasys BACnet MS/TP Communications Technical Bulletin (LIT-12012362).

Procedure

Wire the RS485 +, -, and COM pins. Do not connect to the PWR pin.
Important: If the SBH300 is at the end of an MS/TP bus segment, set the End-of-Line (FC EOL) switch to ON. If the SBH300 is not at the end of an MS/TP bus segment, set the End-of-Line (FC EOL) switch to OFF. If you use a shielded cable, do not connect the shield wire to the SBH300. To daisy chain the SBH300, connect the shields using a wire nut or similar connector.
