Procedure

  1. Adjust the settings of the range adjusting screw to establish the control operating point on a pressure increase. The pointer on the right side of the graduated scale indicates the control operating point.
  2. Turn the differential adjusting screw until you establish the switch operating point that you want on a pressure decrease. The scale pointer on the left indicates the switch operating point. See Figure 1.
  3. Confirm the settings with an accurate pressure gage.

Example

For example, to correctly set a P67CA to open its contacts at 15 psig (103 kPa) and close them at 12 psig (83 kPa), complete the following steps:
  1. Turn the range adjusting screw until the pointer on the right is at 15 psig (103 kPa) on the graduated scale.
  2. Turn the differential adjusting screw until the scale pointer on the left is at 12 psig (83 kPa).
  3. Raise and lower the air pressure to check the accuracy of the settings.
