The P597 Series Electronic Pressure Transducers are compact, economical, rugged, direct-mount pressure transducers for commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning applications. These transducers use the sensed pressure to provide a proportional, ratiometric (0.5 VDC to 4.5 VDC) analog output signal.
The P597 Series transducers feature environmentally protected electronics with stainless steel construction and a Packard electrical connector. The digitally compensated P597 transducers are highly accurate over a broad temperature range, and can resist the effects of wide ambient temperature swings, high humidity, condensation, and ice.
The pressure port is machined from 304L stainless steel (SS). No o-rings or organic materials are exposed to the pressure media, for a leak-proof, all-metal, sealed pressure system. The P597 Series transducers operate with any corrosive or non-corrosive refrigerants that are compatible with 304L SS, including water, glycol, most refrigerants, and many other compatible fluids and gases. In addition, you can use the P597 transducers with the following natural refrigerants: ammonia (NH3) and propane (R290) in accordance with hazardous location requirements, and also carbon dioxide (CO2).
The P597 Series provides transducers in a variety of pressure ranges, and covers most common refrigeration and air conditioning applications. Refer to the P597 Series Electronic Pressure Transducers Product Bulletin (LIT-12013896) for product application information and for the product code matrix that identifies all of the potential P597 transducer models and product code numbers.
The product matrix shows the potential non-standard P597 Transducer models that can be built. Non-standard models are not all available. Non-standard models are only sold in bulk quantity orders of 50 or more. Contact your Johnson Controls sales representative for more information about bulk purchase of non-standard P597 transducers.
