The communication adapter, part number ADPT-MR5-RS485, is an isolated RS485 adapter that you can use to interface with a Building Automation System (BAS). The communication adapter is included with MR534AFDV models. It is not included with MR534AFDN models, but you can purchase it separately to add BAS communication.
