Important: Use this System 450™ modular control assembly
only as an operating control. Where failure or malfunction of the System 450 modular
control assembly could lead to personal injury or property damage to the controlled
equipment or other property, additional precautions must be designed into the control
system. Incorporate and maintain other devices, such as supervisory or alarm systems or
safety or limit controls, intended to warn of or protect against failure or malfunction
of the System 450 modular control assembly.
This application note illustrates the sequencing of M100G Series Actuators when used with a C450CPN-1 Control Module.
Note: Maintain polarity when wiring 24 VAC power to the M100G Series
Actuators.
The following diagram illustrates the zero adjust and span settings for sequenced actuators.
For Actuator 1:
- Set zero adjust to minimum. This should correspond to the controller’s output voltage for the zero position, for example, 1 VDC.
- Set span to the desired portion of C450CPN-1 output signal where the actuator goes from full Counterclockwise (CCW) to full Clockwise (CW), for example, 4 VDC.
For Actuator 2:
- Set zero adjust to the C450CPN-1 voltage output where actuation begins, for example, 6 VDC.
- Set span to the desired portion of C450CPN-1 output signal where the actuator goes from full CCW to full CW, for example, 4 VDC.
