At Release 10.1, we are releasing the SNE Series of Network Engines — a brand new family of network engines that succeeds the NAE Series of the Network Engine family, to further expand and enhance Metasys’ supervisory control capabilities.
Figure 1. SNE Series of Network Engines: SNE22000, SNE11000, SNE10500,
and SNE110L0
| Feature | Description | Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Flexible scalable device capacities | Four models with varying device capacities and parent server type | Provides system designers with flexibility in choosing the SNE model that is most cost-appropriate for the intended application. |
| High capacity memory | 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of eMMC Flash |
|
| Linux Operating System (OS) | Wind River® Linux | Reassures customers that the underlying operating system is a robust, widely-accepted, and readily-supported operating system well-suited for embedded hardware devices. |
| Diagnostic LEDs | Diagnostic LEDs for
indicating:
|
Decreases time spent by electrical installers and field technicians when troubleshooting installation or operational issues. |
| Smaller, modernized packaging |
|
|
| Dual input power | Traditional 24 VAC power input as well as an additional 24 VDC power input for use with a backup, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) or wall-outlet plug. |
|
| Background file transfer | Files such as firmware upgrades and archive databases can be transferred from SCT/SCT Pro to the network engines in the background, while they are still operating, and be applied at a later predetermined time. | Improves field technicians’ productivity and minimizes system disruption. |
| Batteryless | Data backup during shutdown process is powered with a supercapacitor, rather than a lead acid battery. |
|
| Secure boot | Prevents malicious or unauthorized software applications from loading during the system start-up process. | Reassures customers that their network engines comply with strong cyber security practices. |
| BTL-listed | BTL-listed at Protocol Revision 15 as BACnet Building Controllers (B-BC). | Ensures openness and interoperability with other BACnet devices and systems. |
