About this task

You can add additional custom options using encrypted settings for certain approved circumstances. Johnson Controls need to provide a file for adding a custom option. Adding a custom setting is not a common feature needed in the Software Manager. To add a custom setting, complete the following steps:

Procedure

  1. In the Online Connection setting, click the + icon to add a custom option.
  2. Browse to and open the settings file provided by Johnson Controls. The application processes the file, verifies the data, and adds the new custom option to the drop-down list.
  3. Click Save.
    Note: An error message appears if you provide a settings file that matches an option that already exists in the drop-down.
