About this task

If credentials are required for the proxy server, you need to add them to the credential manager. To store your credentials in the credential manager, complete the following steps:

Procedure

  1. Go to Start>Control Panel>User Accounts>Credential Manager.
  2. Click Add a generic credential.
  3. In the Internet or network address field, enter SMProxyCredentials.
  4. In the User name and Password fields, enter your user name and password.
  5. Click OK.
    Note: If you have a local system account, then you need to directly log on to that machine with that local system account and then continue to work on the Software Manager.
