You can prepare the connection parameters of an SNE for communication over the building network using one of the following procedures:

• Preparing SNE for a network that supports DHCP and DNS

• Preparing SNE for a network without DHCP and without DNS support when the SNE uses APIPA

• Preparing SNE for a network without DHCP and without DNS support when the SNE uses a static IP address

• Preparing SNE for a network that supports DNS but not DHCP
