In addition to the Site Management Portal UI, the Metasys Server software installer also installs the Metasys UI software. Metasys UI is a mobile-optimized software component that consolidates existing Metasys user interface products into a single, simplified, and easy-to-learn interface. Metasys UI provides a simple location-based navigation approach to finding information about the Metasys site, including the ability to search for any location or equipment by name and to bookmark a location or equipment in a web browser. All data displayed in the Metasys UI is organized in a dashboard format that gives you the overview of what is happening within a space, equipment, or central plant. You can also and create and manage graphics and their associations to equipment and spaces. Access the Metasys UI from any type of client device with any screen size. For more details, refer to the Metasys UI Technical Bulletin (LIT-12012115) and Metasys UI Help (LIT-12011953) .
Note: At Metasys Release 12.0, the following conditions apply:
  • If the SNE is part of an engine-only site with no Metasys Server, Metasys SMP is available on the SNE and other network engines, but Metasys UI is not available on the engines.
  • If the SNE is part of a new site with a Metasys Server, Metasys UI is available on the Metasys Server, but Metasys SMP is not available on the Server. However, SMP is available on the SNE and on other network engines as well.
  • If the SNE is part of a Metasys Server upgrade from an earlier release, Metasys UI is available but Metasys SMP is only available if a you purchase a license separately.
