SNEs are configured in the factory with standard initial values for many of the editable attributes. The following table lists some important initial default configuration values for the SNE.

SNExxxxxxxxxxxx, where xxxxxxxxxxxx is the Ethernet MAC address of the device without hyphens. For example, if the Ethernet MAC address is 00-10-8D-05-0F-FC, the initial Computer Name is SNE00108D050FFC.

Site Director

A new network engine is a Site Director by default. If an SNE is not going to be the Site Director, demote the engine by specifying the Computer Name or IP address of the designated Site Director in this Site Director attribute field.
