About this task

After an SNE is set up for connectivity, the Site Management Portal UI can be accessed through the Launcher.

See Site Management Portal user interface and the Metasys Site Management Portal Help (LIT-1201793) for additional information about navigating the Site Management Portal UI.

You need to know the Computer Name (or IP address) of the SNE you wish to access. If you do not know the IP address of the SNE, see Determining the SNE IP address and device name for a network connection.

If the SNE has been added to a building’s DNS server, you can access it by its Computer Name.

To access the Site Management Portal UI on an SNE through the Launcher, complete the following steps:

Procedure

  1. Start Launcher.
  2. Select the Computer Name (or IP address) of the SNE on the SMP tab of the Launcher, and click Launch. The Metasys system login window appears.
  3. Type the SNE Username and Password, and then click Login or press Enter.
  4. To view an SNE, select the SNE object from the Navigation panel and drag it to the Display panel. The SNE object opens with the Focus tab active (Figure 1).
