The date, time, and time zone in the status bar of the SMP user interface indicates the local date, time, and time zone for that device. The date, time, and time zone in the device object to which you are browsing are the same time; however, there may sometimes seem to be a discrepancy or delay between the two. This is normal operation. See Figure 1.

For a network engine at Release 8.0 or later, the local time and date shown on the device object's focus window is based on the default time zone set for the device. If the engine is located in a different time zone than the Site Director, the current time and date shown for each differs.
