You can use SCT to configure servers and network engines without connecting to the live Metasys server or network engines. This function is called offline, or system configuration, mode. In offline mode, use SCT to set up the system database. Then, load configuration changes created in offline mode to the network engine for the settings to take effect.
Two features are available only with SCT: ActionQ and Manage Archive. You can add servers and network engines in offline mode only.
