The Multistate Output object’s attributes represent the desired state of one or more physical outputs or processes of the device in which the object resides. The actual functions associated with a particular state are determined locally (not part of protocol). Present Value represents the state with a number, and State Text associates a description with each state.
The Multistate Output object integrates N1, N2, and BACnet controllers with supervisory controllers, resulting in:
-
a consistent interface to point objects for all controller types
-
flexibility in point mapping
-
support for Metasys controllers
For example, this object allows you to command the modes of an access control device from a supervisory controller.
For general information on Metasys system objects, see Common Object Attributes.
