About this task
Debug files help technical support solve issues that a user may experience. If you have an issue with your system and technical support requires a debug file, complete the following:
- Select an archive.
- In the Network Tree, right-click the effected object.
- Select Device Options.
- Select Get All Debug Files.
- Enter your credentials.
- If required, enter and confirm a password for your debug file.
Note: There is no way to change or set the default location of where you would like to download your files in SCT Pro. You can only configure the location the files are downloaded to in your browser.
Send the downloaded file to technical support.
Note: You can also get a debug file in Device Discovery.
