You can download a Database backup or an Export File backup to your local computer. You can restore the backup on the same or different installation of the SCT or SCT Pro. You can use the backup that you download to provide an additional level of disaster recovery, and to transfer a site archive between installations of SCT or SCT Pro.
You can download and use an Export File (.DbExport) to restore an archive in any installation of the SCT at Release 10.0 or later. You can only download and use a Database file (.backup) to restore an archive to an installation of the SCT that uses the same or later version of SQL.
