Windows security alert - Metasys - LIT-1201990 - Software Application - NxE Information and Configuration Tool - 10.1

The following security alert may appear when you start the NCT on a 64-bit version of a Windows operating system.

Click Allow access to start the NCT.

By default, many programs are blocked by the Windows Firewall to help make your computer more secure. To avoid this message box in the future, allow the NAE Information and Configuration Tool to communicate through Windows Firewall by following these steps:

1. In Control Panel, click System and Security > Windows Firewall.
2. In the left pane, click Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall.
3. Click Allow another app. The Add an app window appears.
4. Select NAE Information and Configuration Tool in the list.
5. Click Add.
6. In the Allowed Apps window, click OK.
7. Close all windows.
