To find the IP address of a network engine by using the NCT to discover the device, click Discover and look for the network engine in the Discovered Devices list. If the list is long, use the Sort By button to more easily locate an engine.

Note: The network engines must be connected to the same subnet as the NCT computer to be discovered by the NCT. NCE25, NAE35, and NAE45 engines must be at Release 3.0 or later to respond to the NCT discovery request. For an NxE55xx-1 or NxE55xx-2 engine before release 5.2 to respond to an NCT discovery request, the engine must be at a specific patch level for its release. These patch levels are 4.1.11.0900, 5.0.6.0600, and 5.1.2.0500. NxE55xx-0 engines cannot be discovered regardless of release.
