Use the Explorer tab (Figure 1 or Figure 2) to quickly locate, retrieve, and send copies of files from a network engine. The Explorer tab does not allow file deletion.

Files Pane |
When you highlight a directory in the Directories Pane, the Files pane displays the files located in the highlighted folder. You can retrieve a copy of any file by highlighting the file in the Files pane and clicking Get File. You can select only one file at a time. |

Get File Button |
Click Get File to copy the files you select in the Files pane. For information on using this function, see Finding and sending non-crash files on a network engine. |

Get All Debug Files Button |
Click Get All Debug Files to retrieve and store several log files created by the OS and Metasys applications. These files help when troubleshooting network engine problems. For information on using this function, see Finding crash files. Important: The Get All Debug
Files tool places additional load on the network
engine processor. If the network engine processor is close to
being overloaded, this additional load may cause the network
engine to reset.

Send File Button |
Click Send File to send files you select from your laptop to the folder shown in the Files pane. The Linux OS may restrict write access to some folders on engines with that OS. For information on using this function, see Finding and sending non-crash files on a network engine. |

Directories Pane |
Displays a navigation tree showing the directory structure of the network engine when you click Refresh Device Contents. The paths/directories can be expanded and contracted to browse through the network engine. The Directories feature is read-only and does not allow you to act on the directories that appear. |

Refresh Device Contents Button |
Click Refresh Device Contents to command the NCT to read the directory structure of the connected network engine and display the directory content (as a navigation tree) in the Directories pane. Important: The Refresh Device
Contents tool places additional load on the
network engine processor. If the network engine processor is

network engine to reset.
