With an NAE55-1, NAE55-2, NAE35, NAE45, or NCE25 connected, click Start FTP Server on the Tools tab to start the FTP server on the network engine. You need an FTP application on your NCT computer to transfer files between your computer and the network engine’s FTP server. Internet Explorer has a built-in FTP application.
When you click Start FTP Server on the Tool tab, the comment ...request made appears in the Connection Activity Log (Figure 2) indicating that a thread is started on the network engine, which starts the network engine’s FTP server.
If the network engine is running normally and is not overburdened, then most likely the service has started. If the NCT connects to FTP client on the network engine, the service has started.
Start the FTP application on the computer connected to the network engine and execute the required tasks. In the Internet Explorer web browser, type ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of the connected network engine.
