This appendix covers important considerations regarding the use of Metasys system software on Windows desktop operating systems.
Release 10.1 of the Metasys system supports the following desktop operating systems: Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise Editions with Creators Update (version 1809 or later, 64-bit); Windows 8.1 Pro and Windows 8.1 Enterprise with Update 1 (64-bit); and Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate Editions with SP1 (64-bit).
These Windows desktop operating systems offer increased network security that affects Internet and intranet communication, including communication between Metasys system components.
