A simplified version of NTP. These protocols allow one computer to ask another computer what time it is across a TCP/IP network, then set its own clock accordingly. A number of public Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) time servers keep track of time with a very high degree of accuracy that can be used to ensure that the Site Director is synced to real time.
