About this task

To insert field points manually, complete the following steps:

Procedure

  1. Use a web browser to log on to the network engine's UI.
  2. Select the device object from the Network tree in MUI.
  3. Click the + icon (Add Network Item) to create the item.
  4. In the Create Item wizard, select Field Point from the General Type drop-down and select Manual.
  5. Select Point Type from the Object Type drop-down.
  6. Accept the default name or specify a unique point name in the Unique Identifier field.
  7. Click NEXT.
  8. Click CREATE.
