Procedure

  1. Click the Upload License tab. The MAC Address and License status fields are automatically populated.
    Note: After you update an NIEx9 with the NAE/NIE Update Tool, the Generic integration field shows NOT AUTHORIZED because the driver file was deleted during the update. This is normal operation.
  2. Click Upload. The uploaded license is placed into the working folder.

  3. Back up the NIEx9 license file before executing any operation with the NAE/NIE Update Tool. Perform this operation at the first run of the NIEx9 and before formatting the NIEx9 using the NAE/NIE Update Tool. When you use the NAE/NIE Update Tool, the license file is deleted and cannot be recovered.

    Name

    Description

    MAC Address

    Indicates the MAC Address of the connected NIEx9.

    License Status

    Indicates the presence of the license file for Generic Integration, OPC Server Integration, and ISN Integration. For the standard NIEx9 engine, the Generic Integration field shows AUTHORIZED, whereas the OPC Server and ISN fields show NOT AUTHORIZED, as they are custom solutions.

    Disconnect

    Disconnects the Driver Manager from the NIEx9.

    Clicking Disconnect does not exit the NIEx9 Driver Manager application.

    Upload

    Saves the license file from the NIEx9 to the selected working folder.

    Connect UI

    Connects to the Metasys user interface.
