About this task

Procedure

  1. Click the Application Settings tab.

    Name

    Description

    Application Language

Specifies the language of the NIEx9 Driver Manager. This is independent from the language setting in the NIE.

    Original Packages Folder

Selects the default location of the packages created with the install of the Driver Manager. You can also copy newly released or Field Patch packages to this directory. If the packages are not located in this folder, the NIEx9 Driver Manager is not able to retrieve the packages that are already on the NIEx9.

    Manage Working Folders

Manages project folders in order to store communication drivers and licenses in the subfolder. This allows you to keep the files relating to the different projects separate.

  2. Use the drop-down list to set the application language.
  3. Click the Browse button to navigate to and set the default package folder.
Note: Packages are not included in the setup of the NIEx9 Driver Manager. If packages are not present in the default folder, the NIEx9 Driver Manager cannot verify the integrations. The package folder must be different from the selected working folder.
  4. Click Manage Working Folders to add or remove a working folder.

When you click Manage Working Folders, a window opens that lists all the working folders defined on the local computer. Each folder should correspond to a different project (Figure 2).
