About this task

This section explains how to configure Remote Desktop for sharing your computer's disk drive with the NIE59 at Release 5.2 or older.

Use the Remote Desktop connection in order to share the local drives with the NIE59 drives.

Procedure

  1. Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Remote Desktop > Connection. The Remote Desktop Connection window appears.

  2. Type the NIE59 name or IP address in the Computer field and click Show Options.
  3. Specify a valid user name to connect to the NIE59 (Figure 2).
    The default user name for an NIE59 is metasyssysagent.

  4. Click the Local Resources tab and click More (Figure 3).

  5. Select only the drive that has the FTP Server Installer (Figure 4). If you leave all drives selected, the NIE performance slows down.
  6. Click OK.

  7. Click Connect.
    The drive you selected is now shared with the NIE.
