Procedure

Using NCT, connect to the source network engine; that is, the
one that contains the preferences you want to copy.

Click the Explorer tab, click
Refresh Device Contents, then
navigate to the Preferences directory for the device as
shown in Table 1.

Use Get File in NCT to copy
SystemPreferences.xml (system
preference) or UserPreferences-userID.xml
(user preference), where userID is the identification number
that appears in the Security Administration tool.

Paste the file onto the desktop of your computer.

Disconnect the network engine from NCT.

Connect NCT to access the destination network engine (where you
want to copy the preferences) as the MetasysSysAgent user
and navigate to the Preferences directory for the device as
shown in Table 1.

Use the Send File option in the NCT to
paste the SystemPreferences.xml file or
UserPreferences-userID.xml file
that you copied to your computer desktop with Step 4.
