This section explains how to locate model names for CS objects. If you are replacing a VMA14xx with a VMA1832 controller and the VMA14xx controller has a CS object defined, you must replicate the model file used in the previous CS object. During the replication process, change the hardware type and any point mapping that is different.

  1. Using the OWS, locate the VMA14xx hardware and any associated CS objects.
Note: Some installations may have more than one CS object related to a VMA controller. Be sure you locate all CS objects and their associated model names.
  2. Record the name of all models used by the discovered CS objects.
  3. Verify that all model files required for the NCM are available on the workstation (Figure 1). The model file should include all models referenced by the CS Objects associated with the VMA14xx that you want to replace.
