This section describes how to load a GPL strategy and translate the GPL processes in the strategy.
To re-translate all of your GPL processes associated with the NCM:
- Start GPL and navigate to the folder containing GPL process source code.
- Single-click the network name in the list.
Note: You may need to use the UP and DWN fields to scroll to the network name if it does not appear in the list.
- Select NC-1 (or the appropriate NC where the GPL processes are located).
- Select each GPL process (strategy) in the
list and click LOAD (Figure 1). Figure 1. Selecting GPL Processes
- Double-click the hammer tool in the
lower-left corner of the vertical toolbar and select the TRAN (translation) field
(Figure 2). Figure 2. Selecting Translation
-
Select Standard Defaults (Figure 3) to initiate the GPL translation process.Figure 3. Selecting Standard Defaults
If the GPL translation completed without errors, a message similar to Figure 4 appears. If you receive errors, correct them before proceeding.Figure 4. Translation Complete Message
Note:Possible errors from the new VMA definition may be due to any of the following scenarios:
- Directly mapped points have been deleted
- CS object point attributes have been deleted
- CS object attributes moved up or down in the model section sequence
- Restart the PMI workstation.
- Launch the Metasys application.
- Download the NCM.
See Updating the NIE Configuration if the NCM system has been migrated to the Metasys system using NIEs.
