This section describes how to use the UNDDL command to decompile model files using DOS commands and how to open and edit the model file for use with the VMA1832 controller.

The model file is located on the OWS in the DDL folder of the project folder or project settings path indicated by the Win Prep-for utility. See Locating FMS Data Using the Win Prep-for Utility for steps to locate the project folder and project settings path.

Note: CSG objects configured at the NCM use the UNDDL command to decompile all model files.

To decompile a model file:

  1. Open a DOS command prompt.

  2. Change the current directory to the FMSDATA path noted in the Locating FMS Data Using the Win Prep-for Utility section (for example, CD\PROJECT\<CONTRACT NUMBER>\DDL).

  3. Enter in the FMSDATA path definition information from Figure 1.
  4. Type UNDDL MODEL and press Enter.
  5. From the FMSDATA path, type DIR and press Enter.
Note: Refer to the DDL Programmer's Manual (LIT-630010) for more information about adding new controller model types to the main model file.
