After the Object Types are updated to MI or MO, leave the Units box with no option selected. When the Point Mapping Utility is finished and the points are correctly mapped in Metasys, specify the correct set in the Metasys UI.

View the point in the SMP and click Advanced to examine the Display attributes. Remember that some points may be located on the navigation tree in folders below the controller.

Click Edit at the top left of the view.

Examine the set information in Table 1 and update the Number of States value in the point definition.

Select the appropriate value from the States Text box (Figure 2).Figure 2. States Text Box
Note: If a drop-down list box does not appear, click Edit. -
Click Save at the top left of the view. The States Text is now correctly set for the object and the point displays correctly. Perform the same steps for the other objects that require their States Text box populated.

See the list of extensions from Step 4 in Online Controller Replacement. Add the extensions to their objects. Since the points have the same name as the original VMA14xx points, the history of the new extensions should be appended to the original point's extension histories.

Upload the NAE into the SCT.
