NIE55 Device Name

NIExxxxxxxxxxxx, where xxxxxxxxxxxx is the Ethernet MAC address of the device in hexadecimal. For example, if the Ethernet MAC address is 00-80-66-05-0f-fc, the device name is NIE008066050FFC.

DHCP Client

Enabled by default. However, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) must be disabled for communicating to the N1 Network. N1 Networks do not support DHCP.

NIE55 Serial Port One

115,200 baud, 8 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit (115200,8,n,1), Direct Connect IP over Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP).

NIE55 Serial Port Two

8 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit (9600,8,n,1)

Site Director

The NIE is a Site Director by default. That is, it contains a Site Object. If it should not be a site director, it must be demoted and the host name or IP address of the Site Director specified.
