When you configure a validated point on a network engine, you have various options regarding user action, including alarm acknowledgment, setpoint adjustments, and point modification:
- Enter your username and password and specify the reason for change.
- If it is configured as a validated object on a validated engine, provide a required annotation.
- Enter your username and password, specify the reason for change, and provide an annotation.
This capability contributes to the electronic signature requirement that is necessary for Part 11 compliance. Electronic signatures with required annotation are unique to one individual and cannot be reused or reassigned to other users. See Figure 1.
