The CG and CV series equipment controllers are a
modernized equipment controller family that succeed the FEC/FAC/VMA series equipment
controller family. This modernized family shares similar design details, including the
following:
- Modernized packaging and styling
- Removable screw terminal blocks
- Decimal MS/TP address set with three rotary switches
- More memory and faster processor
- Background file transfer
- Improved SA Bus commissioning
- Models with BACnet MS/TP and N2 networking with auto-detect (CGM and CVM models)
- Models with BACnet/IP and BACnet/SC networking (CGE and CVE
models)Note: The CGE and CVE models can act as BACnet/SC nodes.
- Device Security (CGE and CVE models)
- FIPS 140-2 Level 1 Compliance using FIPS validated components (CGE and CVE models)
- Wireless: ZFR Pro mesh (CGM and CVM models) WRZ-7860 1-to-1 (CG and CV models)
- CG series equipment controller models featuring an onboard display and keypad
The onboard display and keypad in the SNC and CG series
models provide a local interface for users to perform the following tasks:
- Monitoring point values and status
- Viewing alarms and trends
- Overriding outputs
- Adjusting setpoints and parameters
- Live trending
These capabilities help end users and field technicians quickly troubleshoot issues and restore control, while being in close proximity to their associated mechanical equipment.
