Variable air volume box. A type of equipment that provides for heating, ventilating, or air conditioning in a commercial building. A typical VAV system consists of a VAV box, ductwork, and four air terminals. VAV systems vary the airflow at a constant temperature.
Virtual Machine. A Virtual Machine shares hardware and software resources with other operating systems instead of a dedicated server on one piece of hardware. Because VLANs are based on logical instead of physical connections, they are extremely flexible.
