Two variations of the user interface are available: Metasys UI and Site Management Portal (SMP).

The Metasys UI provides a simple location-based navigation approach to finding information, including the ability to search for any location by name and to bookmark a location in the browser. All data displayed in the Metasys UI is organized in a dashboard format, presenting to you the complete story of what is happening in a space, equipment, or central plant. You can access the Metasys UI from any type of client device with any screen size. The Metasys UI includes features ideal for efficient building operations.

For a comprehensive list of Metasys UI features refer to the Metasys UI Technical Bulletin (LIT-12012115) . For further details about individual features refer to the Metasys UI Help (LIT-12011953) .
Note: From Release 13.0, Metasys UI is included on SNx engines.

The Metasys SMP is a legacy user interface and has been succeeded by the Metasys UI. Similar to the Metasys UI, the SMP provides real-time and historical data views, extensive alarm management capabilities, and system configuration functions for system administrators or dedicated building operators. The SMP transforms the raw data from the site and organizes it into a comprehensive set of information management tools and reports. You can access this portal using the Launcher through an Internet or intranet connection to a Metasys server or engine. For further information about the SMP, refer to Metasys Site Management Portal Help (LIT-1201793) .

The following table describes the offerings at Release 13.0.50 and if they support Metasys UI, SMP with an add-on license, or SMP without an add-on license.

1 From Release 12.0, the SMP UI requires a license. The SMP license is available to existing Metasys customers to purchase for use on a non-MVE site. For MVE sites, the MVE license enables the SMP UI so that a separate SMP license does not need to be purchased separately.
2 From Release 13.0, a manual process is required to use SMP with SNx engines. For more information, see Launcher.
