At Releases 10.0, 11.0, and 12.0, we introduced the first members of a new, modernized equipment controller family that succeeds our FEC/FAC/VMA series equipment controller family. This modernized family shares similar design details, including the following:
  • Modernized packaging and styling
  • Removable screw terminal blocks
  • Decimal MS/TP address set with three rotary switches
  • More memory and faster processor
  • Background file transfer
  • Improved SA Bus commissioning
  • Models with BACnet MS/TP and N2 networking with auto-detect (CGM and CVM models)
  • Models with BACnet/IP and BACnet/SC networking (CGE and CVE models)
    Note: The CGE and CVE models can act as BACnet/SC nodes.
  • Models with an onboard display and keypad
  • Device Security (CGE and CVE models)
  • FIPS 140-2 Level 1 Compliance (CGE and CVE models)
  • Wireless ZFR and ZFR Pro support

The following table outlines the CG series and CV series controllers in more detail. The models introduced at Release 12.0 are CGM09090-0H and CGE09090-0H. The letter H in the product code number indicates that the controller model has an onboard display.
