A network engine is an Ethernet-based, supervisory controller that connects BAS networks to IP networks. You can use the Launcher application to access the network engine, and then monitor and control BAS devices and systems from a computer. To install the Launcher, use an Internet browser to navigate to the network engine's Site Management Portal (SMP). For more information about how to install Launcher, refer to the Metasys Site Management Portal Help (LIT-1201793).

The network engines interface a wide variety of standard integrations, supporting different building protocols, to provide smart and powerful solutions for the customer.

All network engines provide scheduling, alarm and event management, trending, energy management, data exchange, and password protection.

This commissioning guide explains how to integrate a Molex lighting system to a network engine.
