You can configure email addresses as destinations for event messages. The Email DDA supports standard SMTP. You can also send encrypted email messages.
Note: Beginning at
Metasys Release 10.1, configuring the Email DDA in SMP is no longer enabled for the Metasys
Server on non-MVE sites, but you can use the Remote Notifications feature in Metasys UI to
provide equivalent functionality. Configuring the Email DDA in SMP remains enabled for MVE
sites. For details, refer to Metasys UI Help (LIT-12011953).
