This section includes the steps for performing an out-of-place upgrade of the ADS or ADX software to Metasys Server 12.0.50. An out-of-place upgrade applies in either of these two scenarios: (1) you need to reformat the computer that is currently running the Metasys system to a new, supported Windows operating system before performing the upgrade or (2) you need to move the current Metasys system to a different computer or virtual machine during the upgrade.
